What is PiYo?
PiYo combines the best moves from Yoga and Pilates to (a) improve strength, (b) endurance and (c) flexibility. Because it’s fast-paced, the moves will be athletic and powerful enough to deliver an amazingly strong core. Every part of your body gets (a) stronger, (b) longer and (c) leaner. These workouts will be easy on the joints, plus you never do any jumping to get a cardio effect. PiYo is a low-impact, high-intensity workout for all fitness levels and all ages. You use your own flexibility and strength to shape your body. How would you like to use your body to get a better body?
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a form of weight training that will improve the core muscles of your body (i.e. a. back. b. chest. c. hips. d. thighs. e. abs …). It helped me get a long, lean, and toned body. There are so many benefits to doing Pilates. As a runner, the flexibility and stronger muscles from Pilates workouts helped me get faster. Like anything else, practice, practice, practice makes perfect. If you keep doing Pilates you will look and feel great! And over time, the deep breathing helps increase your lung capacity and blood circulation. The reason why Pilates is so effective is because you work the deeper muscles as well as the smaller muscles.
Why Yoga is good?
People always ask me, “what else I do to work out”. My answer. Yoga not only makes me feel great but it is everything my body needs to function. As we get older, we fuss about pain in our joints and muscles. Not only that, our bodies tend to get weaker and less flexible. And when you stop moving, your muscles become shorter and stiffer. What does this mean? If you don’t use it, you will lose it. More importantly, keeping the flexibility in your muscle helps prevent injuries.
