Making Small Changes

Small Changes Can Make a Big Difference.

Small changes can help you get healthy and fit. When we make New Year’s resolutions we have good intentions to eat better, lose weight and exercise more. Many times we fall short and go back to our old ways. Why?

1. We focus on too many resolutions.

2. It’s takes too long.

3. It’s too big of a step.

4. Old habits are hard to break.

5. We try to do it alone.

Making small changes can have long-lasting benefits, if you stick with it. The key is to take a couple of small steps. That’s what I learned to do. There will be good days and bad days but you have to keep going. Each time you take a new step you make a choice to become a “new you”. If you try to make too many drastic changes too fast, you will get overwhelmed and you won’t get it done. It’s better to focus on one new change at a time and then gradually add more as you progress. If you do something different, then you’re doing something you never did before. When you do something different, you need to do it every day. For example, if you schedule your workouts at the same time each day, chances are you will stick with it. And over time you will start to see a change if you put the right fuel in your body. You have to make changes in your routine to lead you to your goals.

Small Changes to Help Lose Weight.

You set small goals and take baby steps forward to get from point A to point B. Setting small goals can lead to big results.

For example:

1.You did 1 mile brisk walks, and then all of a sudden you could jog 2 miles; and now you find yourself running 3 miles three times per week.

2.You ate fast food for lunch 5 days per week, and now you make your own lunch 4 times per week.

3. You ate fried chicken or fried fish for dinner but now you eat baked chicken or grill fish.

4. You skipped breakfast but now you eat a balanced breakfast each day.

5. You took the elevator before but now you take the stairs.

The point I want to get across is that you have to start somewhere, why not start with a few small changes. If you want something bad enough then you will change your ways. If you change nothing, nothing will change. Get the body you deserve today! Are you ready for change? I’m here to help you.
